The White Willow


The White Willow Rune Studies are based on the understanding that the runes not only represent an "alphabet" to communicate through writing and symbol, but that these symbols allow communication with the unconscious, the spiritual, and Deity.
The White Willow Rune Studies program is comprised of 3 levels or courses of study. To complete all 3 courses takes approximately seven months, though more time can be taken with no penalty. Students are required to complete at least one lesson per month or they will be placed on inactive status and eventually disenrolled.

The three White Willow courses are:

Introduction to Runes (1 month)
Working with Wyrd (2 months)
The Shaman's Path

(4 months)
All lessons included reading assignments and weekly activities. Walking with Wyrd and The Shaman's Path include final project for the end of the level.
Your instructor is Rowen Saille. She is a High Priestess of the Order of the White Moon and has been working with runes for 22 years. You will be provided with information and experience covering the following:

Traditional Rune Meaning (I*, II, III)
Esoteric or Deeper Meanings (I*, II*, III)
History of Runes (I, II, III)
Divination (I, II*, III)
Rune Lore and Divine Connection (I, II*, III*)
Rune Magick (I, II, III*)
Ritual (I, II, III*)
Runic Meditation (I, II, III*)
Bindrunes and Talismans (I, II, III*)
Runecrafting (III)
Tree Magick (III)

I = Introduction to Runes
II = Walking with Wyrd
III = The Shaman's Path

Tuition is $25 for 4 weeks of lessons. There is no cost penalty for progressing more slowly through the lessons, but students are required to turn in at least one lesson per month. You may pay by credit card, automatic debit, check, or money order. Tuition covers online lessons and instructor evaluation.
There are textbooks required for each course that each student is expected to purchase. The books are available online through Amazon.com, but for those who are working with a tight budget, Rowen can assist in finding used books.

The first two courses are prerequisite to continuing to the final course. You must complete the courses satisfactorily to receive course certificates. The Shaman's Path includes an independent study portion. The following certificates are given at the end of each course.

Framable completion certificates are awarded for all three courses at no extra cost. For Walking with Wyrd and The Shaman's Path each student will receive a talisman. The Shaman's Path includes a cord of initiation
